OPTION 1: HANOI CITY TOUR 1 DAY

Firtstop - Tran Quoc Pagoda: 

 Tran Quoc pagoda is one of the oldest Buddhist pagodas in Hanoi, situated on a small island in West Lake. It dates back to the 6th century and showcases a harmonious blend of Vietnamese and Buddhist architectural styles. The pagodas serene ambiance, with its picturesque setting surrounded by water and lush greenery it a peaceful retreat within the bustling city.

Next - Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum complex:

Independence Square: Also known as Ba Dinh Square, it is a significant historical site where Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence in 1945, establishing the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.

- Ho Chi Minh Stilt House: This humble wooden house was Ho Chi Minh's residence from 1958 until his passing in 1969. It reflects lifestyle and serves as a symbol of his close connection to the people.

- President Palace: Formerly the French Governor's residence, it became the offcial presidential palace of North Vienam. Today, it is a museum showcasing artifacts and history related to Vienam's political leaders.

- One pillar pagoda: This unique pagoda, shaped like a lotus blossom emerging from the water, is a symbol of purity and resilience. It was built in the 11th century by Emperor Ly Thai Tong as an offering to the goddess of mercy.

- Lunch Break: After our morning exploration, we will enjoy a delicious Vietnamese lunch at a local restaurant. This will be a perfect opportunity to savor authentic Vietnamese cuisine and recharge for the rest of our tour.

Continuing - Temple of Literature:

The Temple of literature, known as Van Mieu in Vietnamese, is a symbol of Vietnam's educational and cultural heritage. Founded in 1070 during the Ly Dynasty, it served as Vietnam's first national university. The temple complex is dedicated to Confucius and honors scholars and literature.

Hoa Lo Prison:

 Hoa Lo Prison, often referred to as the "Hanoi Hilton" by American POWs, is a historic site in Hanoi, Vietnam. Originally built by the French in late 19th century, it was used to imprison Vietnamese political dissdents during colonial rule. Later, during the Vietnam War, it housed American prisoners of war, including Senator John McCain.

 Today, a portion of the prison has been preserved as a museum, showcasing its grim history through exhibits of shackles, torture instruments, and lifesize models of prisoners. It serves as a powerful reminder of Vietnam's colonial past and the resilience of its people.

Hanoi Train Street Experience:

 At the end of the tour, you'll have the unforgettable chance to sit right along the famous Hanoi Train Street - a narrow alley where trains pass just inches from local homes and cafe's. Relax with a delicious cup of egg coffee or your choice of drink as you wait for the train to come by. Feel the excitement build as the rumbling sound approaches, and watch in amazement as the train glides past just a few meters away.   • Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum is closed at least 2 months every year.

Hanoi City Tour and Bat Trang Ceramic 1 Day

OVERVIEW

 Hanoi, literally the "city between the rivers", is the capital and second biggest city of Vietnam. The historical Old Town, the colonial French Quater, ancient temples of more than a thousand years of age, and various scenic lakes and landmarks make up one of the most fascinating cities of Southeast Asia, with a mix of Chinese and French influences enriching the vibrant Vietnamese culture.

8:00-8:30: Pick up you from your hotel and head northeast along the left bank of the Red River to Bat Trang Village. The village is surrounded by fertile farmland and is well known for its beautiful ceramics. Bat Trang is filled with wall-to-wall shops selling ancient and modern ceramics. It is not only a booming business, but also a trade that helps to keep traditional crafts alive. Have a chance to chat with the local artisans at work or try sitting behind a potter's wheel to see how they create ceramic vases and other masterpieces in the kilns. To make products with different shapes, the artisans must perform many processes from choosing clay, drawing, dealing with and mixing additives, forming shapes, heating, and more to finish products. This work needs meticulous and hard-working artisans. The craftsmen will teach us how to make pottery by turning the table. Next, visit the Ceramic Museum.

12:00: Leave the village and drive back to Hanoi for Vuetnamese lunch.

 Next, we are going to visit Ho Chi Minh Complex, we have s chance to see the Hochiminh Mausoluem and walk around the garden to see 2 houses where he lived & worked from 1954 to 1969. Then visit One Pillar Pagoda which worships the Goddess of Mercy - It is the most unique pagoda in the world. Continue to visit the Temple of Literature - The first university of Vietnam, established in the 11 century. Heading to visit Hoa Lo Prison to learn more about Vietnamese people during the Wars.

17:00: Then back to Train Street for a drink and enjoy the most lively street in Asia.

18:00: Back to Old Quarter, Dating back to the 11th century, the Old Quarter has 36 streets, each named after the commodity traditionally produced and sold on it, such as sugar, bamboo, leather, or silver. Even though some of the streets have had their name changed, many still retain their ancient attributes. Walking through narrow streets to Dong Xuan. Along the edge of the market, dozens of street hawkers sell produce, from live seafood to exotic fruits and spices. Have Food tour by walking to authentic Vietnam restaurants to try so many different kind of food as Bun Cha (Obama had while travelling in Hanoi), Egg coffee, Vietnam donuts, Pho Hanoi (the Best beef noodle soup), Deseart with Black Beans.

20:30: Finish the Full day trip at your hotel
